Grand Funk Railroad

A classic American Rock band! I have been following this band from their inception in 1969.

Although I was never able to see the classic Mark, Don & Mel line-up, I did see Mark Live in 2013 and Grand Funk Railroad live with original members Don & Mel in 2016.

MJM with Mel / I met Mel before the show as he came out for a smoke at the Ft. Morgan's Elk Lodge where the band was hanging and relaxing before their show.

Mel was nice enough to sign my 30 Years of Funk CD Liner.

MJM with Don / Met Don after the show.

Don was nice enough to sign my 30 Years of Funk CD Liner.

Two crappy pictures taken by Jeremy, a fellow GFR fan I was hanging with after the show.

MJM with Max

I met Max as he was walking around the grounds prior to the show and signed my personal michaeljmcgee.com pad.

MJM with Tim / Met Tim just before they went on stage.

Bobstock 2016 / Fort Morgan Colorado July 7, 2016.

I attended The 25th Annual Bobstock music festival. I arrived at 11am to check out the local Colorado bands and take in the festival arts and foods. It was a very hot Colorado day with temps reaching 98 degrees. My main reason for attending was to finally see Grand Funk Railroad perform with Don Brewer and Mel Schachaer and possible meet them. I did talk to Don & Mel briefly as they arrived at about 7:30pm and asked for a photo but both said later which I respected as I learned later, that they flew in that day and drove 85 miles to Ft. Morgan.
