This area is convenient but not that good.

Hiking is good as is the easy ice climbing at Helen Hunt in the winter and early spring.

Solid rock is to be found at the Silver Cascade granite slab area above Helen Hunt Falls.

The climbing in the Amphitheatre should be avoided unless you have nowhere else to climb, unpleasant approach and loose rock if you can find it.

If you persist on climbing here, wear a helmet!!

Definitely go the extra mile and check out the really good climbing at Shelf Road!

You won't be sorry!!
