Humboldt Peak 14,064' 37th highest of Colorado's 53 14ers
This is considered an easy hike. I disagree and consider it a moderate climb. The trial up to about 12,500' is great. After that it is hard to follow and fairly steep in sections.
The road to the South Colony Trail Head is considered easy 4-wheel drive. I didn't take my 96' Chevy Z71 truck out of 2WH drive the whole 2.7 miles. You must have high clearance though.
I started my hike on June 21, 2014 (the first day of summer) at 3:15am and returned to my truck at 12.55pm.
As stated above this was a moderate hike for me but I did summit and it was a VERY long way down.
