Black Oak Arkansas
MJM with Jim Dandy
The Johnny Cash (The Finger per Jim) from Jim Dandy & Sammy B

One of my favorite bands while growing up.
Jim Dandy and Tommy Aldridge were great!

Atlanta Rhythm Section went on at 8 pm did a hit filled hour long set and sounded the best of the 3 bands at this show. The songwriters for this band are very, very good! There were only two original members atteding. Lead Vocalist Rodney Justo and Keyboardist Dean Daughtry who was using a cane and could barely walk and seems to have major medical issues. Black Oak Arkansas
Black Oak Arkansas also did a hour long set starting at 9 pm and didn't sound very good. There were only two original members present in this version of BOA. Jim Dandy was his usual energentic self and Ricky Lee seemed very tired and by the end of the set was sittin down. Drummer Victor Lukenbaugh was borderline terrible. Female vocalist Sammy Seauphine is a nice addition to the band.

I hung out after the show near the Merch Booths hoping to meet Jim & Ricky. I was the only one waiting.
After the crowd cleared, the merch booths tore down and most security and employees left the band was still there with most members in their travel van.
I walked back to the stage area where I was able to meet Jim, Sammy and Arthur. No Rickey...maybe next time?
