Rosetta Stone 1984 - 1987
This band was going a few years prior to me joining. I left Teaser to join Rosetta after an audition at Rick and Rob's place in Key Largo, Florida. I thought this band had tremendous potential and even had an investor at one point named Steve Kibby. This band was clearly driven by lead vocalist Rick Peterson, a good singer but much better manager. This band almost exclusively played the Florida Keys. We played pretty much all the 80's rock and new wave hits. Sometimes playing the same songs a few times a night because of Rick's frequent sore throat.
From Key Largo's Gilberts to Islamorda's wild Holiday Isle to the US's southern most party town Key West where we were house band at Rick's on Duval street. Although we worked pretty steady I eventually left because of personal differences and was invited by Kirk Richards to join him and my old band mate Lyle Lloyd Lingle in the all original band Guest star.

Kevin owned a pretty cool Castle like structure in southern Key Largo where we use to rehearse.
His Dad used to dive with Mel Fischer and Mel's son Kane was a frequent visitor to Ricks bar.
This building is now a tourist store (as of 2003). We had some really fun times here.
April 2022
I visited the Museum in Islamorda. It is now a Montessori school.

As you can imagine the structure has under gone many changes over the years.

The Famous Holiday Isle Tki Bar is not what it used to be in the 1980's when Rosetta Stone played there.
Part of the original bar is still there but the entire sunken dance floor area in front of the main stage and main stage complex is totally different.
